Solar Panel
The flexible solar panel is specially sized for charging 4 series Nickel-metal Hydride batteries, and is the solar panel that comes standard with each Field Tracker 2100 or 2000 purchase. This panel folds up to fit into the Solara Field Tracker 2100 or 2000 carrying pouch and comes equipped with the instrumentation-grade, 4-pin power cable that is compatible with the Solara Field Tracker power input connector. The power connector snaps firmly to the Solara Field Tracker so it can be used while moving.
- Output, approximately 7.2 volts (open circuit), 0.21 amps output (battery half charged, in full sun). Output is reduced when not aimed perpendicular to the direction of the incoming sunlight. As with any solar panel, cloud cover very significantly reduces output.
- Rugged construction with 4 grommets for easy attachment.
- Charges the Field Tracker 2100 or 2000 in about 10 hours in full sun. An hour or so top-up in full sun gives about a day to a day and a half of Field Tracker automatic operation at typical (5 - 15 minute) GPS position transmit intervals.
- Ultra compact and ultra lightweight, this charger automatically begins charging immediately when unfolded and connected to the Field Tracker 2100 or 2000.
- Open dimensions: 17.5" x 5.5" x 0.2" (44 cm x 14 cm x 0.4 cm) .

Charge Cord
The charge cord is an instrumentation-grade, 4-pin power cable that is compatible with the Solara Field Tracker 2100 or 2000 power input connector. The power connector snaps firmly to the Solara Field Tracker 2100 or 2000 so it can be used while moving. The vehicle accessory ("cigarette lighter") connector can also be used with the standard Solara AC to DC power adapter.
- The charge cord incorporates features to help supress electrical noise from the vehicle's ignition system.
- Has a red LED to indicate it is receiving power from the power source.
- Operates over the input voltage range of the Field Tracker 2100 or 2000 charger input, up to 32 volts for 24V electrical systems, up to 16 volts for 12V electrical systems.
- The type for 12V electrical systems also runs the Field Tracker 2000 electronics directly from vehicle power.
- Incorporates a 3A fast-blow fuse.
- Wire length: 6 feet (1.8 m).

AC to DC Power Adapter
The AC to DC adapter supplies regulated 12V power to the Field Tracker 2100's or 2000's built-in battery charger. The are both lightweight with solid state construction. There are two choices of AC to DC power adapter.
The 110V to 12V converter provides up to 5 amp output and is CSA approved. The AC to DC power adapter can also be used to power other 12 Volt DC accessories that consume less than 5 amps.
The 100V-240V input range to 12V output converter provides up to 1.6 A output and is UL approved. It is supplied with a cord to directly connect to the Field Tracker 2100 or 2000 power connector. Optional plug converter adapters are available for Australia, Europe, the UK and most of Asia.
Direct Battery Connector
The Direct Battery Connector connects the charger input of the Field Tracker 2100 or 2000 directly to the battery of a snowmobile or all-terrain vehicle. The Direct Battery Connector includes eyelets for connecting to the battery bolts, a noise filter for reducing electrical noise from the vehicle electrical system, and an instrumentation-grade connector wire with a compatible end for the Field Tracker 2100 or 2000.

4 "AA" Battery Holder, "Cold Weather Kit"
The 4 "AA" battery holder is the Solace Lithium Battery Cold Weather Kit for extreme temperature use (constant cold below -20C) or for supplementing the power for your Field Tracker when no other source is available. The Lithium Battery Cold Weather Kit holds 4 Eveready non-rechargeable 1.5 volt batteries. This serves as an effective back-up to operating off vehicle power, or for use as the primary energy source when vehicle power is not available. An example of such use would be when packing in a komatik or a snowmobile trailer sled. Note that the internal battery charger self-limits charging to only occur when the temperature of the Field Tracker 2100 or 2000 is above 0C to maximize battery pack life, so having a backup power supply to vehicle power is recommended if the unit cannot be charged before travelling.
The Lithium Battery Cold Weather Kit uses wire that is still flexible at -40C. The size is small enough that if the user chooses, they can keep the pack in an inside coat pocket where the user's warmth maximizes the energy from the batteries (although some lithium batteries are rated for use a very low temperatures, these temperatures still do reduce total capacity). It is specially wired so that power is used to directly operate the Field Tracker 2100 or 2000 in such a way that the lithium battery power bypasses the internal rechargeable batteries - so your expensive lithium batteries are used for operation, not charging another battery. Once the lithium batteries are depleted, they should be replaced or the internal batteries will continue operating the Field Tracker until they are also depleted. On the main menu, check "battery voltage' under "Unit Info" and if the battery voltage is below 5.6 volts, the lithium batteries are depleted.
Note that air shipments of lithium batteries are subject to air transport restrictions and special labelling, and that multiple lots of these batteries may be classified as a Class 9 dangerous good and require specialty packaging. Consult your air shipper before shipping lithium batteries.

Ram Snowmobile/ATV/Vehicle Mount for the FT2000
This mount is made by RAM Mounts and is made of rugged cast aluminum with an adjustable cradle. These mounts use a double-ball system for swivelling the mount to the desired position, then locking in place with a locking arm.

LF224A
This model is our standard 12V vehicle electrical system protection product. It provides noise filtering, over-voltage protection, and over-current protection. LF224A features:
- Protection from sudden voltage surges up to 100 volts that may occur if there is a failure in the vehicle electrical system.
- Short circuit protection with a built-in 5 amp, self-resettable fuse. Once the short circuit or over-current condition is removed, the fuse automatically resets itself after it cools.
- Voltages of greater than 15.8 volts are blocked.
- A maximum current capacity of 2.5 amperes at 12 volts.

LF224SA
This model is an enhanced version of our standard 12V vehicle electrical system protection product. It provides all the features of the LF224A, plus the capability to shut off power to the output of the unit. This provides a remote on/off control function where it is needed for devices drawing up to 2.5A. It also provides a positive, sure method of cutting power to a transmitter where required (for example, this is required in some tunnels).
An extra wire on the LF224SA is connected to a power source between 2.5V and 15V through a switch or controller deviced. When the power is on, the LF224SA is active, and power flows through the device. When the power to the shutdown line is connected to ground, power stops flowing through the LF224A.

LF336A
This model is our standard 24 Volt vehicle electrical system protection product. It provides noise filtering, over-voltage protection, and over-current protection. LF336A features:
- Protection from sudden voltage surges up to 100 volts that may occur if there is a failure in the vehicle electrical system.
- Short circuit protection with a built-in 5 amp self-resettable fuse. Once the short circuit or over-current condition is removed, the fuse automatically resets itself after it cools.
- The LF336A has a maximum current capacity of 3.0 amperes at 24 volts.

BB-1B
The Model BB-1B is designed to keep 12 Volt lead acid batteries topped up and available for backup use by providing a float (trickle) charge to the battery as long as power is supplied to the input. When power is lost on the input, the unit switches to battery power using an electronic switching method that ensures power is not interrupted to the powered device. Ideal for backup power for devices with a controller or microcomputer. BB-1B features:
- Protection from sudden voltage surges up to 60 volts that may occur if there is a failure in the vehicle electrical system.
- Battery output is cut off at 10.5 volts, to protect it from over-discharge damage.
- Battery is switched on when the input voltage drops below 10.8 volts.
- When external power rises above 11.3 volts, the battery is switched out and returns to float charge mode after a 3 second delay.
- Float charger is short-circuit protected.
- Voltages of greater than 15.8 volts are blocked.
- The LF224A has a maximum current capacity of 3.0 amperes at 12 volts. A 3.0 amp fuse is recommended on the ouput.
- The case is 3.1" x 3.1" x 1.2", with mounting tabs at each end.
- Operating voltage is minimum 10.5V to a maximum of 18V DC. 14.2V is typical of most 12V automotive and off-road vehicle systems, which is sufficient to keep a lead acid battery at top capacity even at -40C. .
